If an organization is a non profit, then fundraising is one of its biggest concerns. Fundraising is the life blood of a non profit organization. Without funds (capital), a non profit can’t pay its employees or run programs that further its cause. You also may have noticed that a lot of celebrities support certain causes and charities. For example, Leonardo di Caprio is a big supporter of renewable energy and clean technology. Wouldn’t it be great if an organization could help celebrities raise money for the charities they support?

Well, an organization called Charity Folks is helping non profits raise money through celebrity auctions. One of the featured auctions is to watch a private screening of the new Indiana Jones movie with Harrison Ford. Proceeds from this auction go to the Rescue Train, a charity that rescues stray animals. All proceeds are tax deductible too. You had better bring your check book, though, because the next bid for this auction is $6,500! Yikes!

Disclosure: At the time of the writing of this post, I have no financial relationships with any of the organizations mentioned.
